We have many prayer opportunities happening at SJV this year for Lent! Consider one of these:
Our Lenten Mission on the National Eucharistic Revival is scheduled for March 22-27. It will include prayer, devotions, spiritual renewal, and fellowship.
Friday Holy Hour each week after daily Mass
First Friday Adoration on March 3. Sign-ups are at the top of the ramp entrance, or just drop in.
A public Rosary is said before daily Mass on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturdays from 3:00PM to 4:00 PM. Extra Sacrament of Reconciliation time is available during Lent on Fridays beginning at 6:00 PM, before Stations.
Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 7:00 PM.
First Saturday Masses on 3/4 and 4/1 at 8:00AM.
Mass for the Feast of the Annunciation on 3/25 at 10:00 AM
Many people automatically choose to give up sweets for Lent. It's an easy go-to. But if we really want to use Lent to grow our relationship with Jesus, perhaps we would do well to take an inventory of the ways our life is not completely healthy, or not what's best for the common good, or not what's best for the planet.
Sometimes it's hard to examine our own habits closely, so we've put together an interactive Fasting Inventory that you can use to identify ways you might make small improvements in your lifestyle. It also includes suggestions for your Lenten fast. Click HERE to download it.
There are always plenty of options for giving. Here are some ideas.
